THE POSITION


The Key Account Manager position is responsible for the management and development of business for specific Key accounts, sell into the current client base, ensure customer retention, and work closely with internal stakeholders to define and deliver complex opportunities. This role will have hightouch into the C level. Our Key Account Manager will work with clients to create solutions for their needs and consult through the sales process. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.Key Account Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.

  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.

  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and Keyobjectives in assigned accounts

  • Develops Keyallyviable and well-planned sales opportunities with a target set of accounts/customers.

  • Proactively leads a joint company-Key account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.

  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.

  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

  • Achieves Key customer objectives defined by company management

  • Expert knowledge of complex product selling

  • Ability to successfully work and promote client's environment and requirements internally within inter-functional groups

  • Prepare and deliver effective sales demos and presentations, drawing on expertise from other teams as required

  • Large B2B sales experience

  • Proactively manage an assigned portfolio of customers; building and maintaining strong long-term relationships

  • Effectively and efficiently monitor, track and report on sales activity/performance using CRM system

  • Travel will be necessary

  • May be required to attend annual sales conferences, trade shows, technical training and customer visits.

Key Account ManagerRequirements and Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Business/Management, Accounting, Agricultural Sciences discipline, or equivalent experience. Degree is not a requirement.

  • Agribusiness sales technology background preferred

  • ​Sales experience in ERP sales (Infor, EPICOR, SAP, Oracle)

  • 5 to 10 years of technology sales at enterprise level

  • Management of $1M+ in revenue YOY

  • Highly organized

  • Manage complex sales cycles

  • Excellent communicator

  • Be the voice of the customer internally, a true customer advocate

  • Active selling experience

  • Track record proving the ability to sell into C level management 

  • Able to learn quickly, self-manage, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
