We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Communications and Events to join our marketing and communications team at Fortegra. You’ll develop and execute strategic internal and external communications programs and high-impact events that elevate brand awareness, engage key audiences, and drive business results.
You will work closely with leadership, internal teams, external partners, and agencies to ensure communications and event initiatives support Fortegra’s business objectives. Additionally, you’ll provide guidance and mentorship to emerging team members and contribute to the broader marketing and communications strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 10-12 years of experience in marketing, communications, or event management, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications and events strategies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Primary Job Functions:
- Develop and implement internal and external communications strategies to ensure consistent, engaging, and brand-aligned messaging. Oversee marketing collateral and corporate messaging.
- Partner with Fortegra’s PR agency on media strategies and lead award submissions to enhance industry recognition.
- Support strategic partners as well as Fortegra subsidiaries with marketing communications and events to add value to relationships.
- Plan and manage industry conferences, partner events, and webinars, managing budgets, logistics, and vendor coordination.
- Develop internal engagement and communications programs that promote company updates and reinforce Fortegra’s culture and values.
- Guide and mentor emerging team members while collaborating cross-functionally to align communications and event strategies with business goals.
- Track and analyze communications and event success, using insights to refine strategies.
