Position Summary:
We're looking for a Linen Distributor to join our off-site distribution team in Macon. This role is perfect for someone dependable, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clean linen in covered carts to assigned areas
- Collect and transport soiled linen back to designated areas
- Verify and track linen quantities during deliveries
- Conduct regular linen inventory
- Resolve client concerns and communicate any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism
- Support department cleanliness and uphold safety standards
- Operate equipment and assist with general departmental tasks
- Follow Joint Commission standards and institutional procedures
- Perform basic clerical tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or similar industries
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Team player with a proactive “can-do” attitude
- Ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 35 lbs), and push/pull carts (up to 250 lbs)
- Comfortable with physical work and fast-paced settings
- Willingness to work occasional weekends, evenings, or holidays
- Basic computer literacy
