REPORTING RELATIONSHIP & FUNCTIONAL ROLE
This position reports to the Service Center Manager administratively and at times functionally to the Warehouse Manager and/or Shop Foreman. The Material Coordinator serves as a supportive function for both the Manufacturing and Warehouse work areas. Primary responsibilities include preparing job materials and components for production and repairs through verifying that material meets quality standards, collecting and assigning of components necessary for job completions, identifying jobs ready for completion and preparation of raw materials for conversion.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES
Responsibilities (Warehouse/Staging):
· Maintain inventory stock areas in an organized and logical manner· Move inventory to and from receiving, staging, production, and shipping area· Crosstrain as backup Receiving/Shipping Specialist· Collect and stage parts and components in bins, on shelves, pallets, cages and at workstations· Operate metal cutting saws and other industrial machinery· Utilize computers to assign, issue, and manipulate data to facilitate the proper processing of manufacturing and repair jobs through the system
Responsibilities (Inspections):
· Perform thorough inspections of raw metal, mechanical components, machined parts and light industrial equipment· Document condition, quality, and status of inspected material and components· Contribute to RCA and CAPA efforts related to non-compliant or non-conforming materials and components· Utilize computers to document inspection results· Read mechanical drawings and schematics
Administrative/General:
· Manipulate inventory within the MRP system· Read, understand, and interpret reports· Complete require documentation as required· Maintain an organized and clean work area· Subject to other duties and/or projects as assigned by CFI ManagementRequirements
REQUIREMENTS & CONDITIONS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (special consideration given to those with a technical degree); consideration will be given to those with QC certification or specialized training or to those willing to obtain certification(s) that support the role.

Experience:
2+ years’ experience in an industrial environment with direct experience related to manufacturing and/or assembling of light industrial equipment. 2+ years’ experience working with machined parts and intermediate knowledge of the measuring tools.·
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Superior organization skills are required for this position. Must be meticulous and have a basic understanding of mechanics and mechanical parts. Must be capable of understanding written instructions and can solve simple mathematic equations. Must have experience using measuring devices and the ability utilizing those devices to provide measurements to one thousandth of an inch. Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics is a strong advantage. Must have a clean driving record and license to operate company-owned vehicles. Must have forklift driving experience.

Physical Requirements: Standing, sitting, climbing, walking, crouching, stooping, twisting, and bending. Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and travel short distances safely
