As an Associate Software Engineer, you will work collaboratively within a Scrum environment contributing to the development and support of mission-critical B2B integration solutions between TradeCentric’s platform and its technology partners like Salesforce, Coupa, BigCommerce, NetSuite, and technology bridges for a wide variety of systems. What You’ll Do:
- Contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of software features under the guidance of senior engineers
- Follow established quality practices including writing unit tests and participating in code reviews
- Research API and integration solutions from partner platforms
- Assist with identifying and troubleshooting issues, escalating complex problems as needed
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, learn Agile best practices, and contribute to team goals
- Support documentation and requirement gathering tasks with guidance from more experienced team members
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders in all aspects of Scrum and other team ceremonies
- Collaborate with Development Manager and Product Manager on research, prioritization, scoping, and acceptance criteria for roadmap deliverables
- Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts
Who You Are:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred
- 2-3 years of software development experience. Internship or project experience is welcome
- Familiarity with PHP/Zend including services, API, scalability, and security, and technologies including Elasticsearch, Logstash, MySQL, and MongoDB is preferred
- Willing to learn and work with various data formats including XML, cXML, JSON HTTP/API, and X12 EDI protocols
- Adept at working with Git, containers, and Apache/Linux
- Familiarity with Scrum’s principle qualities
- Creative problem-solver
- A great teammate. Confident and passionate, yet humble and empathetic
- Experience with eCommerce, eProcurement, or ERP systems is a plus
