Job Description
As a Embedded Software Developer, you will be part of the R&D team developing Torizon OS and its associated development tools and ecosystem, part of which is open-sourced.Your focus will be on Debian Packages and Containers for Torizon, and you will be responsible for maintaining the Debian-based Docker images - including tweaks to support the graphics stack and hardware acceleration - and the Debian packages for embedded SoCs vendor-specific features and the upstream community packages.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Write and update Debian packages for downstream SoC vendor packages.
- Contribute to upstream Debian packages related to features supported by Torizon.
- Create and maintain existing Debian-based Docker container images for Torizon.
- Maintain and improve the packages and containers' automated build and test infrastructure.
- Continuously improve DevOps best practices
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Mandatory:
- Experience packaging software for Linux
- Understanding of Linux Kernel and Userspace components internals (graphics, networking etc).
- Intermediate Docker knowledge
- Proactive and communicate
- Availability to work from our Campinas-SP office with a hybrid model.
- Nice to have:
- Contributions to FOSS projects
- Contributions to Debian
- Yocto/Buildroot/Portage Experience
- Willing to learn:
- How to debug software in various languages
- Advanced Docker internals knowledge
- Embedded Linux development
- DevOps best practices
- Writing automated tests
- Automated Testing infrastructure internals
