We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Finance Specialist to join our growing Finance team and support us as we scale our operations, improve our processes, and strengthen our internal control.As our Finance Specialist, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping finance operations organized and running smoothly. This is a very hands-on role - you’ll be expected to take initiative and dive into the details, take ownership of tasks end to end and ensure collaboration between internal teams and external partners. Please note that we’re a remote-first company offering the flexibility to work remotely within the country advertised.Main Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate timely completion of statutory audits
- Maintain efficient cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
- Act as the first point of contact for accounting and controlling related questions
- Support the day to day US GAAP accounting, monthly and year-end closing processes performed by outsourced team
- Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate internal trackers
- Coordinate with vendors and resolve queries when required
- Prepare financial documentation
- Contribute to process improvements that strengthen finance operations
- Help maintain a strong internal control environment as we grow
Basic Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, audit or controlling
- Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment would be a great advantage
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Comfortable in fast-paced, changing environment
- A get-things-done mindset and collaborative spirit
- Good problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written - it will be used on a daily basis
What would Knock our Socks off
- Chartered Accountant qualification is a strong plus
- Knowledge of US GAAP is a distinct value
