About the role:


We are looking for a strategic, resourceful, and analytical individual to drive partnerships with key players in the international education ecosystem such as agents or coaching centers, and own strategic accounts that will grow Duolingo English Test’s business.You will implement Duolingo English Test’s go-to-market partnership strategy in India, and take a structured and proactive approach to implementation. You will play an integral role in growing this business from 0-to-1 in new markets. The ideal candidate fluidly toggles between strategy and execution and excels in a fast feedback-loop environment.Reporting to the Head of Business Development for India of the Duolingo English Test, this remote-friendly position can be based anywhere in India.

The role requires significant travel (40%+).

You will...


Define and implement a partnership strategy for India which will include:

  • Building an exhaustive database of study abroad agents
  • Formulating an engagement strategy which includes events, trainings, conferences etc
  • Ultimately, ensuring these partners are referring potential test takers to the DET

You have…


  • Demonstrated track record of achievement in fast-paced, independent contributor roles & work environments
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience across stakeholder engagement, partner marketing, business development, consultative sales, or consulting
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with rapid iteration, hands-on execution
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Self-starter capable of working remotely and independently
  • Willingness to travel (frequently)

Exceptional candidates will have…


  • Experience working as a student study abroad counselor or with institutions or agents to support student recruitment in India.
  • Study abroad experience at the undergraduate or graduate level, and an intrinsic interest in disrupting the traditional English testing model.
