The
Medical Director, Medical Affairs will be responsible for the leading Medical Information and execution of medical affairs activities aligned to the medical strategy including, but not limited to, collaborative research, leading strategic medical initiatives, case report support, publications, medical communications, and medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials. They will develop and manage timelines to support efficient planning and tracking of collaborative research, integration of newly published literature and data into medical materials and establish strong partnerships with medical thought leaders, investigators, authors, and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
She/he will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure expert input and overall quality of communications, including, but not limited to manuscripts, abstracts, congress posters/presentations, scientific platforms, medical science liaison presentations, medical information documents.
Roles & Responsibilities
Execute on strategic Medical Affairs initiatives in support of department priorities as assigned by management including collaborative research, leading strategic medical initiatives, publication support, and medical/scientific content development. Contribute to publication planning efforts including integration of medical strategic initiatives into the overall publication planOversee Medical Information Call Center and collaborate with internal cross-functional stakeholders including Safety, Quality, and others to ensure efficient operations and clear/accurate communication internally and externallyDevelop standard response documents, responses to frequently asked questions, and medical science liaison presentationsAs needed to support the internal team, conduct medical accuracy and context review of promotional and non-promotional materials via the Medical and Promotional Review Committee processesProvide therapeutic area expertise and medical to cross-functional partners (Marketing, Sales, Market Access, etc.)Collaborate on material development to support payer communication needs (i.e. Compendia, dossier, presentations, etc.) Develop and maintain SOPs and guidance documents for related activitiesAdhere to all company policies and procedures as well as all prevailing rules, laws and regulations relevant to the conduct of job duties and responsibilitiesEducation & Licenses and Experience
Advanced degree in biomedical sciences required (i.e., PhD, PharmD, MS) and 7 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the area of chronic inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis is preferred.
