Job Objective:
Multi-skilled position responsible for ensuring accurate and reliable measurement of natural gas volumes across midstream assets, including pipelines, processing plants, and compression facilities. This role involves data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements to support the company's commercial and operational objectives.

Essential Job Responsibilities:


Measurement Data Analysis & Validation


  • Review and edit measurement data to maintain an accurate system balance.
  • Maintain gas systems Lost and Unaccounted (L&U) for records and use as troubleshooting tool.
  • Analyze gas measurement data from field devices such as flow meters, chromatographs, and SCADA systems.
  • Validate and reconcile gas volume and quality data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies in measurement data and work with field personnel to resolve issues.
  • Generate measurement reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.

Operational Support & Troubleshooting


  • Collaborate with field measurement technicians to ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operation of measurement equipment.
  • Assist in troubleshooting metering discrepancies and provide technical guidance to resolve issues.
  • Support system balance activities by analyzing receipts, deliveries, and losses.

Compliance & Regulatory Adherence


  • Ensure measurement practices align with regulatory requirements, industry standards (AGA, API, GPA), and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist with the implementation of measurement policies, procedures, and best practices.

System & Software Management


  • Utilize measurement software, SCADA, and flow calculation tools to analyze and validate data.
  • Maintain and update measurement databases and support system enhancements.
  • Work with IT and engineering teams to improve data integration and reporting capabilities.

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination


  • Work closely with commercial, operations, and accounting teams to ensure accurate volume allocations.
  • Communicate measurement findings and recommendations to management.
  • Assist with customer and producer inquiries related to measurement data.

  • Ability to travel and attend off-site 3rd party training seminars.

Qualifications:


  • Oil and gas industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn and work proficiently within natural gas measurement data systems, SCADA, and calibration software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks of differing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, producers, and other groups within Harvest.
  • Office-based with occasional field visits to metering sites and facilities.

Education Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent education and experience demonstrating the knowledge, ability to learn, and skills needed for the role.
