JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Distribution Inspector will have adequate experience with inspecting the technical aspects involved with pipeline and station construction as well as cathodic protection systems, reseeding and restoration, erosion control devices and sensitive resources.JOB DESCRIPTION:Inspect and witness hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure testing activities performed per DTS Standard 501, Pressure Testing Pipelines, Mains, and Service LinesPersonnel shall have appropriate qualifications appropriate for role.
API 1169 Certification is preferred for Contractors not possessing a CWI or NACE certification. Inspection experience is required Ensure that OSHA/MIOSHA Trenching and Excavations regulations are followedCollection, compilation, and submission of records required prior to, and after strength testing, before piping is placed in ground.Detailed markup or “redlining” of all information shown on Approved for Construction(“AFC”) or other company drawings or sketches to confirm or specify final as-installed quantities, location, dimensions, etc.Collection, compilation, and submission of a final records package for each job or project.Inspectors who do not hold a CWI or NACE Certification must have the API 1169 certification. *This position is working on-site and located in the Greater Detroit, Michigan area.
No relocation available at this time. No Per Diem is available for this position. This position is hourly, non-exempt.
