Your Role:


Working closely with the Sr. Manger, Corporate Accounting, the Sr. Accountant willassist with financial close activities including prepaid and fixed assets account accounting, preparation of account reconciliations as well as other projects as required. The ideal candidate uses evaluation, judgement, and interpretation to select right course of action and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues.Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.Location Classification – Hybrid: ​This role will be required to work onsite 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) or more depending on business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare journal entries in a timely and accurate manner at month-end and quarter-end.  
  • Perform day-to-day prepaid and fixed assets accounting.
  • Establish and maintain accounting standards, performs timely variance analysis and reconciliations
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and research any discrepancies. 
  • File property tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Prepare quarterly analysis.
  • Provide audit and tax deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Role Requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Sarbanes-Oxley experience
  • Cost Accounting experience preferred
  • BioTech/Pharma experience preferred
  • Good understanding of US GAAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and Word
  • SAP S/4HANA experience, preferred
  • Blackline experience, preferred 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong customer service approach
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors effectively and clearly in a remote hybrid work environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally including overnight stay driven by business need.
  • This position must be able to work East Coast hours.

Compensation and Benefits:The expected salary range for this position is $71,000 – $93,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
