As a Research Analyst, you’ll work as part of a collaborative team to develop research-informed guides, tools, and templates to help HR clients’ complete key projects such as designing a wellbeing program. Not only will you have exposure to the research you’re working on, you’ll also have the opportunity to give and receive constructive feedback to other project teams with a view to continuously improving the quality of our research. Key Responsibilities:
As a Research Analyst, you will:
- Participate in development of structured research projects throughout the year leveraging our best practice research processes and methodologies. These research projects, called blueprints, are “Do It Yourself” guides on specific types of client projects that outline a step-by-step process for completing the project.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to identify best practices in a subject area, develop frameworks around unstructured topics, and create/integrate memorable insights into practical research blueprints.
- Participate in ongoing peer review to give and receive constructive feedback to continuously improve quality of research projects.
- Partner with more experienced analysts in advising clients on how best to apply McLean & Company’s practical research solutions in the context of their specific organizational environment and help solve their problems through advisory calls and research requests.
- Contribute to a research agenda that meets the needs of members by developing a deep understanding of what McLean & Company members require to be successful HR professionals.
- Participate in paid workshops for clients who require more assistance implementing our research.
- Participate in critical sales calls to assist the sales staff in pitching the McLean & Company value proposition and in matching our content to the needs of the client.

- Strong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills, as you will be working in these daily.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, flexible, rapidly changing work environment.
- University degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Psychology, or Human Resources.
- Dean’s List candidate with a proven track record of success.
- Accomplishments that demonstrate drive and ambition.
Desirable:
- A specialized degree or diploma in Business, Psychology, Human Resources or Adult Education.
- CHRL or similar HR professional designation in progress.
- Experience and familiarity with formal research methods.
- Experience in the facilitation of workshop or training sessions.
