Responsibilities:
- This position is essential for fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring effective talent management
- Manage and provide support for talent acquisition, pre-employment screening, onboarding and orientation activities for various trades departments
- Administers day-to-day performance management activities (employee coaching, career development, supervisor coaching, corrective action, performance management system administration support)
- Process employee information in HRIS and other systems; manage and maintain employee records, reports and employee files to meet government and company standards; conduct periodic audits to ensure integrity of HR data
- Assist with administrative activities related to the employee life cycle including hiring, life events, and separation
- Interpret and explain HR policies and procedures, laws/regulations to managers and employees; advise managers in employee relations matters
- Support the implementation of company-wide HR programs and initiatives including, but not limited to performance management programs, training and development programs, workforce planning, and employee engagement activities
- Monitor key HR metrics, prepare reports, and provide data-driven insights to senior management
- Occasional travel may be required for different events or activities
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, HR preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years HR Assistant/Generalist (or similar) level experience
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and initiative
- Must have experience as first point of contact for employees; coaching and performance management, and collaborative conflict resolution.
- A strong understanding of applicable federal and state employment laws
- Proficient computer skills and experience in an HRIS system; SAP experience is a plus.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Committed to continuous learning regarding human resource practices.
