About the Role


We are looking for a Manager, HR Analytics andBenchmarking to join our team and help external clients make sense of key HR benchmarks and workforce trends. In this role, you will analyze HR metrics, translate data into clear, actionable insights, and guide clients on how to use benchmarks to make informed decisions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring McLean & Company’s members understand trends such as turnover rates, employee ratios, and hiring timelines—ultimately helping organizations optimize their people strategies to create workplaces where everyone thrives.

Skills & Responsibilities


Client Focus


  • Strong relationship-building skills and a high standard of customer service.
  • Apply academic/work experience, knowledge, and McLean & Company research to provide meaningful insights to the member.
  • Providing guidance on McLean & Company’s best practice research.

Analytical


  • Analyze and interpret HR benchmarks, such as turnover, FTE ratios, and time to fill.
  • Guide clients in understanding the “why” behind the numbers, helping them apply data insights to real-world HR challenges.
  • Stay up to date on workforce analytics and industry trends.

Organization and Attention to Detail


  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity in HR data reporting.
  • Manage the implementation of multiple complex projects at one time.
  • Effectively prioritize.

Verbal and Written Communication


  • Create and present reports, dashboards, and data-driven storytelling that influence HR decision-making.
  • Facilitate discussions about HR data and benchmarks in a way that is clear, engaging, and tailored to client needs. Audience will range up to top-level executives.

Balance Individual Contribution and Teamwork


  • Work with other members of the Diagnostics Advisory and Data Insights teams to balance workloads and share ideas/learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support departmental goal achievement.
  • Ability to manage projects independently.

Change Management


  • Adapt to process changes and improvements on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively suggest ideas for process improvements and solutions to challenges.

Key Qualifications


  • 3-5 years of experience in HR analytics, workforce planning, or a related field years of experience in HR analytics, workforce planning, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics, benchmarks, and workforce trends.
  • Experience working with HRIS, people analytics tools, or data dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required and proficiency in visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights for HR leaders and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications (Education & Certifications)


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree (MBA, HR Management, Business Analytics, or Organizational Psychology) is a plus but not required.
  • Certifications in HR analytics, leadership, workforce planning, or data analysis (e.g., SHRM People Analytics, HCI People Analytics) are beneficial.

Additional Comments


  • This is an individual contributor role, not a people management role. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel (up to 20%). 
  • Must be eligible to obtain a TN Visa.
