Position Overview:


The Client Service Representative is an entry-level member of the Client Services team responsible for facilitating the collection of accounts receivable for assigned payors. Under the guidance of a supervisor and within established procedures, this role focuses on increasing cash flow and decreasing accounts receivable (A/R) days. The role includes follow-up with insurance companies and patients, investigating non-payments, and supporting overall collection functions.

Key Responsibilities:


• Follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid insurance claims in accordance with Coronis guidelines.• Verify insurance eligibility using available tools and resources.• Investigate and pursue resolution on unpaid self-pay and litigation accounts.• Communicate with self-pay patients to resolve outstanding balances and set up payment plans.• Collect outstanding patient balances per Coronis procedures and applicable laws and regulations.• Process incoming mail from physicians, insurance companies, and patients related to account status.• Manage Credit Status Reports and take appropriate actions, including account adjustments and refund processing.• Initiate appropriate account actions such as referrals to collections or insurance adjustments.• Attend team meetings to stay informed on updates related to collections processes.• Identify and report payer trends, invoice issues, or end-user errors to leadership.• Update client-specific documentation as needed.• Assist with training and cross-training of new staff as assigned.• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:


• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask• Excellent organizational skills• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical billing/collections regulations• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education and Experience:


• High School Diploma or equivalent required• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a physician office, medical billing, or insurance collections environment
