The Role
We are looking for a smart, driven legal professional to join Telnyx in Dublin as International Regulatory Counsel. You will help support our telecommunications compliance efforts across 30 countries (and growing). This is a unique opportunity to build deep regulatory expertise in a global tech company while working on high-impact projects. You’ll engage with regulators, monitor legal developments and help ensure Telnyx stays ahead of emerging global telecom requirements.
In This Role You Will
- Serve as Telnyx’s lead attorney for all telecommunications regulatory matters outside the United States.
- Interpret and translate local laws and regulations into actionable internal guidance for Telnyx’s global operations.
- Manage ongoing relationships and correspondence with telecom regulators, ministries, and authorities worldwide.
- Coordinate and submit license applications, annual filings, compliance certifications and other regulatory disclosures in various jurisdictions.
- Proactively monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments across markets where Telnyx operates or plans to expand.
- Develop scalable internal policies, training and procedures to support compliance efforts.
- Advise cross-functional teams on regulatory risks related to product development, market expansion, and commercial deals.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives to expand Telnyx’s regulatory footprint globally.
What we are looking for
- Law degree (or equivalent) and eligibility to practice law in Ireland or another EU jurisdiction.
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-legal audiences.
- Demonstrated interest in telecom, tech policy, and cross-border legal issues.
- Self-starter comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proactive mindset and comfort navigating legal ambiguity with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.
- At least 2 years of attorney-level experience in government, private practice, or in-house roles including exposure to regulatory law, compliance or telecommunications law.
Bonus Points for
- Exposure to telecom, data privacy, or tech regulation.
- Experience (internships, coursework, or work) involving international law or compliance.
- Language skills beyond English.
- Prior experience advising tech, cloud or telecom service providers on global compliance strategies.
