Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will oversee numerous FP&A functions with a focus on program financial support. This role will require collaboration with multiple functional areas to facilitate strategic financial management. Responsible for timely and accurate reporting to senior management, leading proposal processes, and program budgeting and tracking. This person will work directly with senior management, reporting to the Sr. Finance Director. The ideal candidate for this position will be a motivated leader with experience in corporate finance and government contracting.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead all proposal efforts from a financial perspective including gathering inputs, analyzing historical data for reasonableness, providing adequate support documentation, and negotiation preparation.
  • Manage project charge code system for capturing all labor and expense related costs for multiple business units.
  • Assist with financial functions related to manufacturing operations, including cost allocations
  • Review actuals with program managers and directors to ensure accuracy of data and general project tracking.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper recording of revenue and cost elements.
  • Review monthly cost reimbursement invoices to ensure accuracy and provide inputs for required financial deliverables.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and planning to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting efforts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities to assist leadership with strategic decision making.
  • Review monthly financials, perform variance analysis, and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Supervise and manage daily financial functions related to labor and expenses.
  • Support all efforts related to government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.

Educational Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a financial role, demonstrating a good understanding of accounting concepts, financial reporting standards and best practices.
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information.
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level management.
  • Excellent business judgement, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
  • Experience with government contracting, proposal, and financial requirements.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance which requires a US Citizenship

Software Engineers: Candidate should be able to perform on a technical team to develop software solutions using the latest technologies. The candidate poses a technical and integration background. The candidate has demonstrated software development on various platforms on various systems (ideally of aircraft systems).
