Sr. Backend (Django) Engineer at NTD software

We’re looking for a Backend-Focused individual with hands-on Cloud experience to lead the development and maintenance of backend systems and AWS infrastructure. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy designing scalable APIs, automating cloud deployments, and building robust, production-ready architectures.

Responsibilities:

Design and build scalable backend services using Python (Django)
Develop and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines via GitHub
Ensure backend systems are secure, scalable, and high-performing
Integrate with 3rd-party APIs to extend functionality
Collaborate with frontend and product teams for end-to-end feature delivery

Job Functions1. Designing and developing web applications using Django/Python2. Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to create, test, and deploy scalable software solutions3. Supporting backend development tasks, including implementing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases4. Ensuring code quality through best practices, unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to industry standards5. Diagnosing and resolving software defects, performance bottlenecks, and technical debt to maintain application stability and reliability

Job Requirements1. Proven experience in designing and building products from scratch in a startup environment2. At least 5 years of professional experience, focusing on Python, Django, and RESTful APIs3. Experience working with relational databases (specifically PostgreSQL), WebSocket, and AWS Lambda4. Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), GPT, and Prompt Engineering
