Business Operations Specialist-Salesforce

As Business Operations Specialist you will provide Salesforce expertise and analysis to assist the Sales , Professional Services and Life Science teams in the process of improving how their business operates. This position requires being proactive in identifying process and system improvements within our Salesforce environment and owning platform enhancements. Your job duties will include gathering business requirements from stakeholders and proposing Salesforce technical solutions. You will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and expanding our Salesforce environment focused on continuous improvement.

This role requires strong Salesforce technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.  What you’ll be doing:

  • Administer our Salesforce environment 
  • Lead and manage Salesforce projects from start to finish, including gathering requirements, solution design, implementation, documentation and user training (where applicable)
  • Provide advanced support for Salesforce technical issues and troubleshooting for our users, escalating to Salesforce where necessary
  • Design and implement Salesforce best practices for governance, user permissions, and system configuration documentation
  • Partner with Sales Professional Services teams, Life Sciences to deliver required Salesforce enhancements
  • Recommend and deliver Salesforce process improvements

Required Skills:

  • Experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting the Salesforce platform, including managing user accounts, customizing applications, troubleshooting issues, implementing integrations (API) while staying current with Salesforce updates and business processes
  • Act as a Salesforce subject matter expert to liaise with business teams in order to design, build, test, and deploy Salesforce changes to meet business needs
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities to create insights into our business units 
  • Ability to fully understand Company KPI Targets, provide analysis and build projections
  • Reporting and analytics, ability to create advanced reports and dashboards in Salesforce and/or other BI tools to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision making
  • Strong communication and research skills
  • Problem solving skills, understanding of business processes and workflows
