JOB SUMMARY
We are offering a Logistics Summer Internship for a motivated college student to gain hands-on experience in supply chain and logistics within the pharmaceutical industry. This internship involves learning about domestic and international logistics functions, providing exposure to both GMP and non-GMP shipping processes, and supporting audit readiness by enhancing documentation flow. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a supply chain/logistics career path with real-world experience in pharmaceutical shipping, logistics, and supply chain operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support activities for coordination of GMP (API, Drug Product, Analytical samples... etc.) & non-GMP shipments (research studies) ensuring end-to-end delivery of goods.
- Assist with shipment documentation collection and filing into the Quality System (Master Control).
- Monitor and audit shipment progress: track, trace, and update the status of outgoing shipments in Smartsheet.
- Draft and prepare shipment documentation, including invoice templates, packing lists, and USDA statements.
- Confirm that materials were delivered in good condition and manage temperature excursion adjudication.
- Identify trends and collaborate with team to assess courier performance and provide feedback.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in bachelor’s program, preferably a Life Science, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Must have completed their sophomore year and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Smartsheet, etc.)
