Description of Task to be Performed:


Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join an exciting work program. The successful candidate will have experience with designing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring large enterprise networks, preferably in federal government environments, and in following Agile processes using the SAFe framework.Key responsibilities include:· Maintain computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.· Install and configure network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.· Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.· Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.· Communicate networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users.· Fix software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.· Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and operational procedures.· Diagnose and resolve network issues quickly to minimize downtime.This position is hybrid, with onsite support as needed at our customer location in Clarksburg, WV.

Candidates must beable to provide onsite support whenever requested, and are required to live within commuting distance to Clarksburg, WV. AnaVation is not able to provide travel reimbursement when onsite support is required. Hybrid status is expected to continue, but is subject to change according to the direction of the customer.This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and, if requested by the customer, the ability to successfully pass a polygraph and obtain SCI accesses.

Required Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience: 5 years
  • Required:
  • Knowledge of network protocols, standards, and devices (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, VPN).
  • Familiar with network security principles and practices (e.g., firewall configuration).
  • Knowledgeable with network operating systems (e.g., Windows Server) and management tools (e.g., Cisco IOS).
  • Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, and SAFe.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
