Learn more about our offices here.Reporting to the Team Lead, Accounts Receivable, you will play a key role in Prophix’s growing finance team. As a Bilingual Accounts Receivable Representative, you will join a team of two existing representatives, focusing on building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payments and resolve inquiries. Your client portfolio will be primarily based in Western Europe, requiring fluency in both English and French to effectively communicate with customers worldwide.
What You Will Do
- Monitor company AR inbox to address customer inbound requests in accordance with our internal response time expectations.
- Monitor a portfolio of customers and perform outbound collection efforts to ensure on-time payments.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate collection notes for your portfolio of clients.
- Regularly monitor your portfolio of clients' statements for accuracy, such as following up on short payments, reconciling unapplied payments, and submitting journal entries for bank fees.
- Proactively escalate collections to appropriate stakeholders within the company.
- Communicate with stakeholders from our sales, legal, customer, and professional
- services, and the finance team to address questions and provide information relating to customer accounts.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly AR meetings with cross-departmental leadership group.
- Apply customer payments daily.
- Populate customer and prospect surveys, questionnaires, forms, onboarding documents, etc.
- Make recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Strategize with Accounts Receivable team on new approaches to collection efforts.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
What You Will Bring
To succeed in this role, you will need a combination of experience, technology skills, personal qualities, and education.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English / French) required - 100% verbal and written fluency.
- 5+ years of collection experience.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service abilities
- Ability to independently research complex multi-contract invoices.
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located. Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with business-to-business collections in Europe.
- Experience in an invoice billing role.
- SaaS experience.
- Sage Intacct experience
