The Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team.Our Engineers develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying and testing methods and equipment, and conferring with equipment vendors. Moreover, this role will play a large part improving manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
Who you are
- Completed post secondary education in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- APEGA registration as a P. Eng. or E.I.T.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting manufacturing operations
- Process design experience
- Expert in 3D mechanical and CAD software for design, simulation and documentation. (Siemens NX & Teamcenter experience preferred but experience with similar applications will be considered)
- LEAN Process design and support
- Project management experience
- You prioritize working safely and making sure your health and safety as well as those of your co-workers is part of your job

- Research for equipment choice / supplier identification
- Design & implement automation of manual processes
- Work with production personnel and operations management to solve production issues
- New product introduction to factory operations
- New factory location setup / startup
- Design & implement ergonomic improvements to production processes
- Change processes to improve product quality
- Cost reduction of existing processes
