Job Summary:
The Wealth Management Operations Manager is a new position at Mercer Advisors that will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of our wealth management division. This position requires a commitment to excellence, critical thinking skills, expertise in project management, and the ability to drive operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions for this role include:
- Work in partnership with Enablement and Experience teams to develop strategies to improve Wealth Management operations.
- Develop and execute on tactical priorities, ensuring alignment between strategic goals and day-to-day operations.
- Transform high-level objectives into actionable operational plans, including clear milestones, deliverables, and identification of KPIs to track progress, measure success, and identify potential risks and bottlenecks.
- Provide program management for key strategic initiatives, including advisor transitions, ensuring clearly defined expectations, roles, and responsibilities, while driving seamless execution to achieve program goals.
- Design, document, and implement consistent operational processes across wealth management, including standard operating procedures and quality control measures to identify issues and trends, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Identify and execute against opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance the client experience.
- Partner with client-facing teams to improve the overall client experience, providing integrated operational support and facilitating resolution of operational issues promptly through appropriate escalation channels.
- Coordinate with Business Intelligence, Finance, and Wealth Management leadership to drive clarity and consistency around reporting.
- Collaborate with technology teams to integrate cutting-edge tools and systems to enhance operational capabilities.
- Effectively communicate operational updates and initiatives to senior leadership and key stakeholders, gathering buy-in and ensuring project alignment with timely delivery.
- Demonstrate confident leadership with senior leaders by setting clear agendas, driving action items, and effectively communicating expectations while maintaining professional relationships across all organizational levels.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
● Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.● Minimum of 7 years in operations, with a proven track record of leadership.● Strong process design and optimization capabilities.● Proven project management experience, including leading and influencing cross-functional teams● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills● Exceptional written, communication, presentation, and organizational skills● Capable of working in a fast-paced environment● Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement.● Microsoft Office proficient● Achieving success means that you should be comfortable in ambiguity, enjoy problem solving, and have strong leadership and team development capabilities.
Work Schedule:
This professional role requires availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Flexibility to travel up ti 10%.
Working Conditions:
Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a workstation, no heavy lifting over 20 lbs.
