Portfolio Performance Engineer II

The candidate will lead the fulfillment of a small set of portfolios of technical asset management contracts for solar renewable energy projects, provide engineering consulting services, and support the Portfolio Management, Onboarding and Technical Asset Management teams.o Fulfill technical requirements of the Asset Management contracts:o Evaluate technical performance of client sites and identify data and performance issues andrecommendations for improvemento Oversee Operations and Maintenance providers and provide technical feedback and supporto Track equipment and data outages and take steps to reduce frequency and durationo Manage and maintain tickets reflecting Operations and Maintenance issues; monitor site performanceo Analyze and provide feedback on spares strategyo Participate in root cause analysis and problem resolutiono Provide monthly reports of site performance metricso Discuss technical issues with technical and non-technical internal audienceso Audit performance and availability guarantee reportso Assist with Technical Onboarding of new solar sites including reviewing drawings and site design, reviewingo PVSyst and setup of expected energy model, site data evaluation with feedback to client.o Provide technical guidance on handoff from developer to O&M provider, participate in onboarding andturnover calls with client, developer and O&M provider.o Compare design, model data and financial forecasts to identify gaps and issues.o Drive resolution of problems of medium complexity and team-based scope.

Assist Technical Lead on projectresolution and performance analysis as required.o Represent the team in routine communications with clients and within the organization.o Coach and train newer team members on job specific roles and processes.o Drive small team improvement initiatives.

o Working knowledge in the renewable energy performance field.o Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills.o University Degree with 2-4 years of experience in the domain. o Masters/Graduate degree and 0-2 years’ experience in domain.

o PV plant performance analysis, solar industry best practices, energy storage concepts o Power generation and substation conceptso Familiarity with module/inverter/tracking system technologyo Electrical and solar equipment testing procedureso Data analysis and reportingo Basic leadership and project management skillso Able to liaise with clients on difficult matters in a professional manner o Big picture thinking that drives team to meet organizational goals and provides team-based improvements o Root cause analysis & process improvemento Able to lead and work as part of a team

o Expertise in MS Office MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF toolsetso Familiarity with databases.

o PV simulation software such as PVSYSTo Experience in customer serviceo Process improvement experienceo Experience in the green energy or utilities domaino Experience with a U.S. based company
