Assistant Vice President, Finance

The AVP, Finance is a critical role at Antares ensuring the accuracy of financial data recorded in various systems and ultimately reported to senior management on a monthly basis and to various stakeholders via quarterly financial statements.
This position will be reporting to the General Ledger Controller and will be responsible for reconciling daily ledger activity which entails various balance sheet and income statement general ledger account oversight. An ability to manage multiple tasks while working under strict month end reporting deadlines is essential. Our ideal candidate is independent, motivated, detail orientated able to analyze data efficiently and convey conclusions effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assist the general ledger team in preparing timely and accurate account reconciliations for month end close and quarterly financial reporting deadlines.
  • Liaise with various teams across the organization in gathering detailed supporting documentation in order to prepare adjusting journal entries for various general ledger accounts.
  • Work with the accounting policy and reporting team to review complex transactions, prepare disclosures for quarterly financial statements, gather audit support and explain budget versus actual variances and financial trends.
  • Assist with cross team initiatives within the organization and overall process improvements as it relates to the Finance team which may include enhancing or developing internal controls.
  • Access appropriate data from various financial systems, assist with system conversions, create new and enhance existing internal financial reports using primarily Microsoft Dynamics and OneStream software.
  • Maintain files, accounting documents, records, reports and any other pertinent data in accordance with department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business-related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of accounting related professional experience.
  • CPA preferred but not required.

SKILLS:


  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics and OneStream software a plus.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate data, forming accurate conclusions and translating insights into action.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
