Job Summary


Performs daily functions associated with the status of open purchase orders, order acknowledgements, data entry, and product rejections.  Other administrative support functions for the purchasing department as assigned. This position is part-time. The schedule will be 20 hours a week Monday - Friday. Exact hours are TBD. 

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Confirm order acknowledgements for purchase orders
  • Solicit shipping and information and order status from suppliers
  • Update system with shipping/tracking information and delivery status
  • Reporting status of all open Purchase Order line-items with current, accurate and complete reliable information
  • Assist with expediting product to ensure timely delivery
  • Assist Quality Department in conflict resolution with discrepant parts, paperwork, freight damage, etc.

Qualifications and Skills


  • Minimum high school education or equivalent
  • Organized and accurate
  • Establish rapport with suppliers and maintain a positive working relationship with them
  • Responsive to the needs of the organization’s service level

Physical Requirements


  • This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
