Title: Quantitative Directors
Employer: VIAC Services Company (Venerable)Location: New York, NYSalary range: $177,000 – $290,000Job Description: Responsible for corporate development initiatives and engaging in outreach with potential counterparties to source acquisition opportunities. Develop content for presentation materials for prospecting and other deal related meetings and provide oversight and contribution to the development of financial models to assess the valuation and risk characteristics of potential transactions.
Perform detailed due diligence on data received as part of live transaction processes, including highly complex matters where application of advanced analytical judgement is necessary. Apply quantitative industry knowledge and awareness to drive analysis and performance of transaction process. Prepare and deliver investor and executive team presentations, as well as bid letters summarizing valuation proposals. Analyze the performance of the acquired business and track results relative to plan expectation. Lead ad hoc support on projects related to risk management, finance, operations and other business functions.
Compile and present business updates for quarterly board meetings and other investor meetings. Coordinate with operating company personnel in the production of various project deliverables. Manage and provide training to junior Corporate Development analytical team to support talent development and ensure effective execution of project deliverables.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Finance, or closely related field and minimum 5 years of associate level experience at a life insurance co, investment bank, PE firm or management consulting firm. Experience must include minimum 3 years working with VA insurance liabilities; leading end-to-end underwriting and execution of VA reinsurance and/or M&A transactions; collaborating with cross-functional leaders on underwriting inputs for VA reinsurance and/or M&A transactions; identifying, researching and developing structural solutions to improve risk-adjusted VA reinsurance and/or M&A transaction economics; monitoring insurance M&A activity and networking within the insurance industry to source partnership and transaction opportunities; analyzing SEC, GAAP and Statutory filings for US-based life insurance companies; preparing and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders, owners, board members and c-suite executives.#LI-DNI
