Summer part-time Marketing Associate

Lakeland Fire + Safety’s Marketing team is looking for a part-time Summer 2025 Marketing Associate (AKA paid Intern). This role will assist the sales and marketing teams in identifying, attracting, and nurturing potential customers by conducting research, using company-supplied tools, and collaborating on lead generation strategies and campaigns.
Our part-time Summer Marketing Associate (Intern) will work primarily in lead generation activities but could be involved in other marketing initiatives as appropriate. This position will be based in our corporate office in Huntsville, AL.  This Summer role will start in May 2025 and last for just under 3 months.Lakeland Fire + Safety is a multidivisional, publicly held producer of quality, high-performance protective garments for fire and industry in both domestic and international markets. Our protective clothing products are proven on-the-job every day, and are specified routinely for works in the fire, chemical, petrochemical, healthcare, automotive, aerospace, glass, cement, and other industries in which hazardous materials must be handled.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Research potential leads in business intelligence tool or LinkedIn who match our ideal customer profile for our various B2B segments
  • Managing data entry tasks such as uploading and updating lead information, and ensuring accurate information in Salesforce
  • Conducting outreach to potential leads through email and social media campaigns, in collaboration with our Digital Marketing Specialist
  • Following up on existing leads through lead nurturing campaigns
  • Collaborating with the larger marketing and sales teams to create strategies, analyze data, and examine existing lead generation efforts
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, content creation, and social media initiatives
  • Support the tracking and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide recommendations to improve strategies
  • Help adapt existing marketing content (e.g. blog posts, webinars) into bite-sized social media or email content for outreach efforts
  • Contribute ideas and process support to optimize automation workflows in Salesforce/Pardot to improve lead engagement
  • Participate in training and understanding best practices for Salesforce, Pardot, Asana, and other programs

  • Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate effective communication, navigate interactions, and build relationships
  • Social media savviness to understand the trends and tactics on select social media platforms, such as LinkedIn and Facebook
