Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Jr. Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role will support the accounting department in day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen eye for accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
- Prepare bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support in payroll processing and related reconciliations.
- Help with audit preparation and compliance requirements.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Recording and reconciling intercompany transactions
- Strong Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred; internships considered.
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
