Your Impact:
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Technician with expertise in hardware development to join our dynamic team at Dedrone. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and success of our hardware products, applying your technical skills and knowledge of electromechanical principles.
What You'll Do:
- Assemble and fabricate electromechanical devices according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Build and terminate RF, power, and data cables per project requirements.
- Maintain and organize the shop area, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
- Manage inventory of components, tools, and materials, tracking stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
- Handle shipping and receiving of parts and equipment.
- Assist in the validation and testing of new designs using standard test equipment.
- Support engineers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Follow and maintain production documentation ensuring all work is done according to company standards.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure efficient workflow.
What You Bring:
- A technical degree or certification in a related field (e.g., electronics, mechanical technology) or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proven experience in assembling electromechanical devices and building cables.
- Strong hands-on skills with fabrication tools, such as drills, bandsaws, angle grinders, and soldering equipment.
- Experience in managing inventory and maintaining a shop environment.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A proactive and organized approach to work.
- Experience with basic electronic testing equipment such as multimeters.
