- Acting as liaison between direct reports and stakeholders when issues arise requiring attention
- Performing annual staff Performance Development Plan reviews, and makes recommendations when required
- Approving, monitoring, and tracking department vacation, sick days, and remote workdays for direct reports
- Approving and monitoring any staff expenses, including continuing education courses for direct reports
- Working with the VP, Business Systems to oversee the development of a workflow system to effectively and efficiently manage workload
- Providing a work environment that is supportive of the productivity & morale of all staff
- Conducting process and needs assessments, initiating and implementing initiatives for continuous improvement
- Executing regular meetings with staff:
- Monitoring and auditing workflows
- Ensuring staff feel they are supported and heard by management
- Communicating, promoting, and aligning staff behavior with company values
- Communicating to staff the company's goals and achievements
- Collaborating with staff to monitor Objectives & Key Results
- Providing training and mentoring as required
- Immediately dealing with staff issues, working towards a resolution
- Developing and maintaining a high service level standard for the department
- Maintaining, attracting, and developing skilled staff
- Working with the VP, Business Systems on Epic strategic direction
- Working with department managers, directors, CFO, and other stakeholders to facilitate new/improved Epic workflows, front-line reporting, document needs, and data integrity as required
- Managing the Epic project pipeline, balancing stakeholder needs and guiding priorities and decisions as required
- Coordinating and launches new Epic initiatives, and acts as Epic subject matter expert for inter-department initiatives as required
- Leading and participating in Epic acquisition projects as required

Must haves:
- Minimum 5 years in a management role
- Extensive experience in Epic broker management system is essential
- Undergraduate University Diploma or Degree, preferably in technology or business, or equivalent experience
