The Talent Acquisition Manager will bring “best in class” sourcing, recruiting, and selection techniques to recruit and select great talent for Venerable. This individual will use experienced consulting skills to effectively work with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to build an effective recruiting plan identifying sourcing strategies and selection processes for a wide variety of positions. This role serves as a positive ambassador for the company.
1. Create and drive talent acquisition strategies for recruiting high-quality talent and for a broad range of unique positions ranging from professional to executive roles2. Consult with management and HR Business Partners to understand talent acquisition needs and provide recommendations on selection criteria, process, sourcing strategies, and target candidates and companies3. Source the best candidates possible (passive and active) using multiple sources including LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday, and other proactive recruiting methodologies4. Leverage connections to add diversity to our candidate pool5. Skillfully interview candidates and influence/coach management to select the best long-term candidate6. Actively coach and influence senior leadership and management on recruiting and selection7. Accurately and persuasively represent the company and culture as an ambassador of the organization8. Utilize strong business acumen to understand and convey to candidates the broad range of roles they represent9. Own and drive company’s Co-Op and Internship program, including building relationships to identify talent from local colleges and universities10. Lead significant, process improvement projects; given a topic, vision, and/or concept, can develop a full vision of the project, create buy in and alignment with management, identify key policy issues, and make recommendations for change11.
Serve as backup support to HR Business Partners, as necessary12. Oversee Immigration practices for the organization
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- SHRM certification(s) desired but not required
- Minimum five years previous experience as a recruiter, including sourcing and interviewing candidates for fulltime and intern roles
- Prefer experience in Variable Annuity, Insurance and/or Financial Services
- Current network of recruitment sources, including social media platforms, professional networks, business affiliations or similar.
- Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations impacting the hiring/recruiting function.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously with an effective outcome.
- Ability to deal with highly confidential information.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Workday and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Proven abilities to effectively collaborate with team members and business partners while providing top-notch customer service
