Summary:
Vaxcyte’s Summer Internship program offers students with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience that complements their college curriculum with relevant hands-on work that can shape their future career pathing and interests. As a Legal B.O.T. (Building Operational Tech)Intern for Vaxcyte, you will work on a project as outlined below:- Create chatbot model(s) that integrate with systems such as Galaxy, Ironclad, and BOX to provide answers to internal questions and retrieve related documents.- Explore integrating the chatbot with Ironclad, enabling it to look up contracts and answer questions related to Ironclad and the company’s contract review process.- Adapt the model(s) for additional legal team use cases or citizen development education.- Ensure that the chatbot provides meaningful, accurate answers and retrieves information without material error.The Intern will learn and practice: - How to create a chatbot and fill the gap that exists for most legal teams, providing insight for future employment opportunities. - Exposure to the operations and needs of a fast-paced and sophisticated legal team in a biotech setting.- Gain insight into the intersection of technology and law.
Program Details:
- The Internship will begin in June or July and will be around 10 weeks (8 hours per day) in duration at our San Carlos, California location.
Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (enrolled student with at least 1 year at university completed) with a focus on Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and work quality.
- Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork.
- Enthusiastic- shows curiosity and is eager to learn.
- Dedicated.
Reports to: Associate Director, LegalLocation: San Carlos, CASalary Range: The expected salary range for this position is $23-$26 per hour for undergraduate students. Actual pay will be determined based on the year of university/college completed. The Summer Internship position will not be eligible for benefits.
