SendosoSenior Software Engineer
- Lead and architect the development of complex software systems for the Sendoso monolith and microservices and ensure robustness, scalability, and optimal performance, while setting technical standards for the engineering team.
- Drive collaborations with cross-functional leadership teams, including product management, design, and operations, to strategize and deploy technical solutions that align with the company’s long-term business objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers, overseeing their code quality and professional growth, and lead code review sessions to reinforce best practices and high standards across the development team.
- Conduct advanced research to forecast technology trends and prepare the team for future challenges, ensuring Sendoso stays ahead in a competitive landscape - specially on the AI area.
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level features, integrating advanced programming techniques to elevate the company’s product offerings.
- Develop strategic plans for the engineering team, identifying key areas for technological and process improvements, and spearheading initiatives to implement these enhancements.
- Serve as a technical liaison between engineering and other departments, such as marketing and sales, to provide technical insights that inform strategic decisions and product positioning.
- Spearhead innovation labs or hackathons to foster creativity and exploration of new technologies or approaches within the engineering team, translating innovative ideas into actionable projects.
- Manage offshore engineering teams, demonstrating adept leadership in cross-cultural environments. Skilled in orchestrating remote project delivery with a focus on maintaining clear communication and high-quality outputs. Proven expertise in overcoming challenges associated with time zone differences to ensure seamless integration and collaboration across global teams.
May telecommute 100% of the workweek from any U.S. location.
Minimum Requirements
:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related engineering field, plus three (3) years of professional engineering experience conducting software engineering activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include the following:
- Three (3) years of experience in using Ruby on Rails and/or Java , equipped to tackle diverse development environments and challenges.
- Three (3) years of experience building integrations with third party systems including but not limited to Shopify, Salesforce, Hubspot, Marketo, Körber, Whiplash and other 3PL software.
- Three (3) years experience working with at least one message or event-based technology (Kafka, Kinesis, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.).
- Three (3) years of experience contributing to and utilizing in-house UI platforms and micro frontends.
- Three (3) years of experience developing front-end software using Vue.js and Nuxt UI Frameworks.
