We are seeking Grantee Specialist Managers to support Head Start which is a nationwide comprehensive child development program serving pregnant families and eligible children from birth to five. As per Section 640(a)(1)(C)(i) of the Head Start Act, amended on December 12, 2007, a portion of the Head Start allocation is reserved for training and technical assistance (TTA) activities to enhance service quality. This is an opportunity to improve local programs' capacity to deliver high-quality services, focusing on correcting findings from federal monitoring, school readiness, and staff training/professional development needs.THIS POSITION IS PENDING CONTRACT AWARD
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Create a comprehensive system of quality assurance for TTA grant recipient deliverables and contract deliverables.
- Maintain consistent supervision, oversight, and coaching for Grantee Specialists.
- Facilitate professional development for Grantee Specialists so they can deliver TTA that builds program capacity, helps grant recipients develop strong management systems, reinforces corrective action efforts, and analyzes data.
- Assess recipient TTA reports for accuracy and ensure that they are submitted by the due dates listed in the Schedule of Deliverables.
- Provide technical assistance to grant recipients in response to monitoring findings, management system concerns, under-enrollment, and other risks identified by Regional Office staff. Coordinate support, messaging, and prioritization of technical assistance.
- Observe the Grantee Specialists at least twice during the contract period to assess quality and develop professional development needs as described in the schedule.
- Develop a process for analyzing, reporting, and presenting TTA data to inform and improve grantee specialist TTA services' quality and responsiveness, and improve coordination with state, regional, and national priority organizations, as well as other early childhood TTA systems.
- Participate in national, regional, and state work groups and meetings as directed by the OHS.

ducation & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
- 3-5 years of extensive experience in early childhood education, training, and technical assistance.
- Knowledge of the grants management lifecycle with experience providing analytical and reporting support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in staff supervision and professional development.
- Excellent business writing skills and attention to detail; impeccable command of English grammar and the ability to communicate with key stakeholders and external partners.
- Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
