This role will join a group of experienced technologists who are passionate about building reliable and secure solutions, and who value communication and a collaborative approach. Engineers at Truss work closely within cross-functional teams, and alongside partners and client teams including technical product managers, designers, delivery managers, and infrastructure engineers to deliver custom solutions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working within a fast-paced environment, have a proactive mindset, and be solution oriented.L4 candidates will be expected to have experience leading and actively mentoring junior engineers while supporting healthy team dynamics that empower technical teams to set and advocate for best practices and standards.This is a fully remote position.Candidates with active Public Trust clearance will be prioritized.
Skill Set:
- 4-6 years experience with React, Typescript, Javascript
- Comfort with the concept and application of Boolean algebra and implementations like De Morgan's law as it pertains to writing tax logic
- Ability to work transparently and cross-functionally to solve impediments
- Methodical approach to solving problems and ability to express solutions to coworkers
- Prior experience working with, for, or alongside federal government teams
- Hands on experience with agile software development practices
- An adaptive, empathetic, consultive approach and the ability to work shoulder-to-shoulder with clients
- Can advocate for best practices and standards
- Ability to express complex ideas clearly and succinctly, and create corresponding documentation as needed
- Experience working in a fully remote environment
- Familiarity with communication tools such as Slack, Zoom, Gsuite, and MSTeams
- Tax experience a plus
