The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join our growing Procurement team within the Finance Department. The role is full time permanent and offers hybrid working flexibility.Reporting to the Director of Procurement, as a senior member of the Procurement team, the Procurement Manager will collaborate extensively with internal and external collaborators to ensure the function achieves its overall objectives. This role is critical in shaping and driving the Procurement function across the company, building performance-based supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standard process, and aiding delivery of an efficient, value for money supply base for the organisation.The ideal candidate should have a commercial background with experience in working in a busy and dynamic Finance department.
Must demonstrate experience in process improvement, spend optimisation, attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, be proficient in various IT systems, can work on own initiative to tight deadlines and enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders across a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver transformation of the current ‘as is’ processes to support best practice, including process / system improvements, KPI reporting and automation opportunities.
- Manage all phases of strategic sourcing as required including internal and external stakeholder management, RFP process, benchmarking, negotiations, contract / pricing review and implementation.
- Ensure successful delivery of contracted activities, identifying continuous improvement opportunities through engagement with vendors and internal stakeholders and maximising value for money from engagements.
- Support the Director of Procurement in the development and execution of annual saving plans, leading negotiations for agreed category spend to achieve targets.
- Identify new vendors as required and assist in timely and efficient onboarding of approved new vendors.
- Ensure best Procurement practice across internal departments and alignment with relevant policies.
- Deputise for the Director of Procurement as and when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a business-related subject.
- Minimum 3 years in a Procurement role in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in supporting RFPs, commercial contract reviews / negotiations and proven track record in delivering bottom line savings.
- Delivery of process improvements within supply chain.
- Strong analytical and IT system skills.
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Procurement experience in the Technology / IT industry would be an advantage.
- CIPS qualification desirable but not essential.
