If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about optimizing processes and driving strategic decisions, we want to hear from you!The ERO Law Enforcement Systems and Analysis (LESA) division is responsible for helping inform the development of ERO strategies and supporting continuous enhancement of ERO business processes to execute those strategies.
Through data collection and analysis and technology and process improvements, LESA delivers tools, studies, and recommendations that assist ICE’s decision-making and planning (strategic, business, and operational). LESA studies ICE’s operations and resources (personnel, processes, technology, and infrastructure) to find areas for continuous improvement.Responsibilities Include:• Support will include conducting business process and requirements documentation sessions with varied stakeholder groups, process analysis studies, white papers, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, configuring software support tools, piloting recommendations, developing implementation plans for operational changes, and developing training content.• Provide technical guidance to the project team in performance of the work, review the quality of work products, organize, direct and coordinate planning and production of contract support activities• Must obtain knowledge of agency/department operations, policy and requirements to carry out the tasks or projects effectively.
• Have the ability to contribute strategic decision making, and demonstrate the knowledge of project management lifecycles. • Demonstrate the knowledge in data science or machine learning models, have a strong foundation in mathematics, linear algebra and statistics, • Conducts research and prepares management, organizational and business analyses and forecasts using data science tools• Generate management tools that effectively control programs and generate reports; and supports the programmatic development of operational applications of the tools or analysis that are focused around operations research and document findings• Develop custom automation solutions to improve operational efficiencies.• Conduct data analysis and statistical reporting.• Prepare briefings and issue papers, studies, recommendation, responses and reports about the mission, activities, and related statistics.• Develop, test, and deploy new data science models according to agency needs• Identify new data sets which would enhance the accuracy of existing models and dashboards.• Analyze the impact of the effects of a regulation, policy, program, etc. and the effects of changes in budget, staffing or policy/priority changes on resources, performance, or schedule
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree and 3-10 years’ experience• Strong written and oral communication; • SQL, MS Access, Excel, Qlik, Python, R, and Business Intelligence tools
