Guild is hiring a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager to join our Product Expansion team. In this role, you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of builders (Engineers, Designers, Product Managers, Product Marketers, and Operators) to identify, prototype and deliver new products for Guild’s users, with the team goal of accelerating Guild’s mission and expanding Guild’s market. This team is singularly focused on this goal and staffed with all the resources we need to bring new products alive.

As a Senior Strategy & Operations Manager on the Product Expansion team, you will work across a breadth of areas that are needed to successfully bring this product to life. Your role will evolve with the product.

In early stages of product development, you will be asked to roll up your sleeves, get scrappy, and do whatever it takes to help the product be successful – no task is too big, and no task is too small. As the product evolves and gains traction, we expect you to spike into ownership of employer relationships and new product design and deployments.
  • Product Adoption and Account Management: Drive customer adoption of the product by defining and refining positioning, crafting collateral, planning for and leading customer meetings with senior stakeholders, and managing customer relationships in the context of new product deployment. Lead design of how the solution is deployed based on a deep understanding of customer needs and close partnership with Product and Design.
  • Strategy: Guide the direction of the product based on the needs of customers, users, other key stakeholders, and landscape context. Evaluate and prioritize new market opportunities for the products. Conduct research to inform user experience and product design.
  • Operations: Lead operationalization of the product during early stages, and inform more scalable operating models for later stages. Set up systems and processes for customer coordination, user support, and quality assurance that ensure the product meets functional and performance requirements and goals.
  • Ecosystem Development: Develop the framework for identifying, evaluating, and, as relevant, onboarding new types of partners. Key responsibilities include landscape mapping, assessing partnership feasibility through market research and institutional analysis, conducting strategic discovery with potential partners, and building lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong candidate will be a strong relationship builder who can own relationships from employer stakeholders to internal support specialists
  • A strong candidate will be a strong communicator, able to deliver simplicity on the other side of complexity
  • Have experience across account or partnership management, strategy, and operations
  • Can get smart quickly on new-to-you topics
  • Are deeply well-versed in workforce development and skills-based education, with experience bridging employer needs with educational solutions
  • A strong candidate will be excited about a zero-to-something environmentthat is fast paced and iterative, with an “all hands on deck” and “no task too small” culture
  • Want to wear a lot of different hats. We can promise that you will NOT be writing any lines of code – other than that, this person will perform many functions to get things going.
  • Set an example for others on speed, efficiency, and organization
  • A strong candidate will be situationally adaptable, thriving in ambiguity and capable of juggling competing priorities
  • Have an unrelenting growth mindset, with eagerness and ability to learn and teach – both yourself and your team – new things
