What You’ll Do:
- Design and build search tools that quickly retrieve relevant information from vast amounts of data using technologies like Elasticsearch or Apache Solr.
- Develop recommendation systems that suggest relevant products, features, or content based on user behavior and preferences.
- Build and maintain APIs and connectors to seamlessly integrate search and recommendation functionalities into the broader platform.
- Optimize data indexing, query performance, and relevance ranking to ensure fast and accurate results.
- Architect and implement distributed systems capable of handling large-scale, multi-tenant environments.
- Collaborate with product, AI, and infrastructure teams to align system capabilities with business goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in software development with experience coding in C, C++, Java, or Golang.
- Strong understanding of memory and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with agile development processes in both theory and practice.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building and optimizing search and recommendation systems.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least two of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Golang, Python.
- Expertise in microservices-based scalable architectures.
- Background in building and operating large-scale systems in multi-tenant environments.
- Knowledge of relevant tools and frameworks like Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, Redis, Kafka, or similar.
