JOB SUMMARY
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational security objectives and NERC CIP compliance requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of security services projects, including deploying new security technologies, or expanding monitoring coverage to renewable assets (solar, wind, battery storage).
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking key milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external MSSPs, ensuring clear communication of requirements, expectations, and deliverables procedures and help improve the process.
- Lead small projects and activities.
- Train and assist newer team members with standard tasks.
- Drive resolution of straight forward problems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION
- Experience in the energy sector, with preference for renewable energy (solar, wind, storage) and familiarity with the unique cybersecurity challenges of IT/OT environments.
- Experience working with or managing engagements with MSSPs, including overseeing SOC services, incident response support, and threat intelligence delivery.
- Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills
- University Degree (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of experience or Masters with 0-2 years of experience
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across geographically distributed renewable energy sites and corporate environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership
- Able to liaise with clients on routine matters in a professional manner
- Attention to detail
- Able to work as part of a team
REQUIRED SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
- Expertise in MS Office MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, [Project], [Access], [Publisher]) and Adobe PDF toolsets
- Project Management Tools
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with NERC CIP standards, and experience managing projects to improve or maintain compliance for bulk electric system (BES) cyber assets.
- Proven ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams to successfully deliver complex projects in a regulated industry.
- Experience in customer service.
- Experience with a U.S. based company
