About the position
· We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Geophysicist to join our Far East Team based in Jakarta office. You must be Indonesian nationality.· As a Senior Geophysicist within GeoSoftware you are responsible for executing consulting projects, teaching advanced seismic reservoir characterization and quantitative interpretation training to customers, providing technical leadership, expertise, and supervision to technical members.· You are expected to be able to develop and implement best practice seismic reservoir characterization and quantitative interpretation workflows to deliver advanced solutions with the highest quality for GeoSoftware services.· You should be able to successfully leverage your expertise in Far East’s complex reservoirs to build, develop and manage strategies for creating new consulting services and software sales.· You will work with a regional sale, marketing and technical members of the Far East Region located in Kuala Lumpur (regional headquarter), Perth, Jakarta and Dehradun.
Key Responsibilities
· Execute consulting projects, technical services and deliver training courses to the highest quality and exceed client’s expectations.· Develop and implement best practice workflows to deliver advanced solutions for GeoSoftware services.· Assist the sales team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies to increase consulting services and software sales.· Deliberate with technical buyers the advanced technical concepts of the GeoSoftware products and integrated / cross-products workflows providing solutions to challenges throughout the life cycle of a reservoir/field.· Ability to clearly communicate to commercial buyers the values from GeoSoftware cross-product workflows to solve key customers’ challenges.· Provide leadership and direction for internal technical staff within the Far East Region.· Guide and monitor the technical team to successfully execute software evaluation and consulting projects inside GeoSoftware office or customer’s site.· Publish at least one (1) technical paper per year as the lead author in technical conferences or journals of repute.· Prepare and deliver webinars on technical topics for both internal and external audiences.

· Advance Level in the following skills:o Seismic data conditioning for pre-stack and post-stack data.o AVO forward modelling and analysis.o Fluid substitution and scenario modelling.o Rock and fluid property analysis.o Wedge modelling and tuning thickness analysis.o Seismic attributes and AVO attributes analysis and interpretation.o Spectral Decomposition attribute analysis.o Multi-attribute analysis and interpretation.o Seismic to well-tie and wavelet estimation.o Structural and stratigraphic modelling.o Seismic velocity data conditioning and calibration to well data.o Low frequency modelling using well data, seismic velocity, facies trends, etc.o Colored Inversion, Elastic Impedance and Extended Elastic Impedance application and interpretation.
o Deterministic seismic inversion and reservoir characterization:• Acoustic Impedance (single stack) Inversion• AVO/AVA (multiple stack) Simultaneous Inversiono Geostatistical seismic inversion and reservoir characterization:• Acoustic Impedance (single stack) Inversion• AVO/AVA (multiple stack) Simultaneous Inversiono Bayesian probabilistic facies and fluids prediction based on inversion results.o Reservoir property estimation:• Regression equation method.• AI/ML method.o Net pay and volumetrics calculation.o 3D visualization and interpretation.o Uncertainty estimation of inversion results.o Seismic velocity modelling, time-depth conversion and uncertainty analysis.· Skill and experience with the following are beneficial:o Seismic interpretation and sequence stratigraphic analysis.o Well log data, petrophysical interpretation and rock physics modelling.o Pore pressure prediction using well data and seismic velocity.o Seismic acquisition and signal processing/imaging techniques.· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team (strong teamwork, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential for successful collaboration).· Attention to detail and accuracy in data QC, analysis and interpretation.· Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Required Qualifications
· Indonesian· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geophysics, Geology, Petroleum Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering or equivalent.· 6-12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with background in seismic signal processing/imaging, seismic interpretation, seismic inversion, reservoir characterization, quantitative interpretation, and familiarity with geophysical software support.· Minimum 5 years of technical experience in seismic AVO forward modelling, seismic inversion, reservoir characterization and quantitative interpretation.· Published at least 10 quantitative interpretation papers at regional or international conferences and workshops.· Hands-on experience on complex reservoir types (clastic, carbonate, sub-salt or unconventional).· Extensive hands-on seismic reservoir characterization and quantitative interpretation experience on both clastics and carbonates reservoirs of the oil & gas basins in APAC.· Proficient in written and spoken English.· Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
