Work Location: Huntsville, AL Schedule: Full Time Relocation: Negotiable IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Helicopter Weaponization Engineer to support the Utility Helicopters Project Office (UHPO) International Programs Office (IPO) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) helicopter weaponization programs on Redstone Arsenal.
Job Responsibilities:
- Management (leading, organizing, planning, and controlling) and execution of a technical helicopter weaponization development, integration, verification, production, modification, fielding, and sustainment program or project.
- Assess and derive foreign-partner unique helicopter weaponization product performance and verification requirements.
- Develop and prepare program acquisition strategies, program cost and schedule estimates, and program risk assessments and mitigations.
- Develop, assess, apply, track, and ensure verification of product performance and airworthiness requirements.
- Develop and prepare CRPs to include SOW and CDRL requirements. Evaluate contractor proposals, prepare detailed technical evaluations, and support USG contract negotiations.
- Ensure CDRLs are work-flowed, reviewed, answered, and tracked using TopVue or Windchill IAW standard work.
- Follow UHPO IPO TM processes to include development of system, item, and airworthiness qualification specifications. Support major program technical reviews to include SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR or PRR, and SVR.
- Ensure aircraft products are verified (to include Army SRD AW approved) and contract requirements are met. Keep UHPO IPO leadership informed and follow UHPO IPO direction and intent Collaborate and coordinate with Material Developer (e.g., UHPO, CCDC AvMC, ACC-R, PEO-Avn, and AMCOM) personnel.
- Monitor contractor and supplier (e.g., Sikorsky, Airbus, SOFSA BGAD, PIF, C5ISR, and/or RTC) contract performance. Interface with, and brief, customer-chain (e.g., AMCOM-SAMD, USASAC, DASA-DE&C, DSCA, State Dept., embassy, and foreign-partner) representatives.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Required experience:
- Minimum of 10-20 years of relevant work experience
