About The Team:
As a crucial part of CookUnity's platform, Horizon enables different business models, subscription plans, and order management experiences, ensuring a seamless and intuitive journey for all users. The Frontend team plays a key role in crafting engaging, reliable, and efficient interfaces that support these critical operations.The team is responsible for two key areas:
Developing and Optimizing Subscription and Order Experiences: Full Stack engineers ensure that users can explore, manage, and subscribe to different plans effortlessly while maintaining a seamless order creation and management experience. This involves working on frontend interfaces, enhancing UI/UX, and optimizing interactions with backend services to improve engagement and performance.Ensuring Scalable and Reliable Order Processing: As the source of truth for user orders, Horizon’s Full Stack engineers are responsible for integrating frontend and backend systems to guarantee order integrity, execute autopilot processes, manage skips, and validate delivery eligibility. They work on critical functionalities that ensure stability and accuracy across the platform.By combining expertise in frontend development, backend infrastructure, and system integrations, the Horizon Full Stack Team plays a crucial role in delivering a seamless and reliable experience for users while ensuring operational excellence across CookUnity.By focusing on high-quality UI/UX, performance, and seamless integrations, the Horizon Frontend Team plays a vital role in enhancing user interactions and making complex backend processes feel effortless and intuitive.
The Role:
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our Horizon Squad, directly reporting to the Engineering Manager.Collaborating closely with a Product Manager and a designer, you'll co-lead the squad to shape the product strategy, define OKRs, and chart the roadmap. Your responsibilities will extend to maintaining regular communication with senior management, providing updates on status, risk assessment, and the broader product strategy.This position offers an opportunity to drive meaningful impact within our team and organization, contributing your expertise to guide our product's growth and success.

- Frameworks: ReactJS, Redux, NodeJS, Express, GraphQL.
- Databases: MySQL & PostgreSQL.
- Infrastructure: AWS Based: Kubernetes, S3, CloudFront and RDS.

Please note that only candidates based in Latin America will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement new features on the CookUnity web platform using ReactJS and NextJS.
- Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Ensure consistent and responsive design across different devices and browsers.
- Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend functionality with backend APIs.
- Contribute to the development of design systems and reusable components.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and trends, and incorporate them as necessary.
- Participate in the code review process.
- Help improve test coverage and automate frontend testing using tools like Jest and Cypress.
Minimum Requirements:
- You have at least 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on frontend development.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, ReactJS, and Redux.
- Experience with modern frontend build tools.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques and responsive design.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress.
- Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and ability to work closely with design teams.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and Agile development methodologies.
- Passionate about delivering a great user experience and solving complex technical challenges.
- Advanced level of English.
