Title: Pre-School Aide
Compensation: $18.00 (hourly)Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Location: San Diego, CaliforniaAs Nazareth School – San Diego’s Pre-School Aide, you will create an engaging, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and spiritual growth. This role involves implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with California State Standards and diocese Religion Standards, nurturing a love for learning while integrating Catholic values.
What You’ll Do:
- Support classroom teachers with tasks like supervising students, checking homework, and recording grades.
- Facilitate small group activities, supervise recess and lunch, and assist with technology and assessments.
- Coordinate hot lunch distribution, deliver meals, and maintain order during lunch.
- Supervise students in Extended Care, manage check-ins/outs, distribute snacks, and communicate with parents.
- Attend support staff meetings and communicate student concerns to teachers or the Principal.
What You’ll Need to Succeed as a Pre-School Aide:
- Experience working with school-age children (preferred, not required).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and ability to collaborate with teachers and staff.
- A commitment to creating a safe and engaging environment for students.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
