The MagMutual Associate’s Program is a one-year rotational program providing comprehensive exposure to multiple key departments. Designed to foster learning, encourage collaboration across teams, and deepen organizational understanding, this program empowers Associates to take on decision-making responsibilities within their assigned roles. Additionally, Associates will provide valuable feedback to help shape the future of the program for incoming participants.SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Work on assigned projects in each department, based on the initiatives and workload of each department's high priority items
- Claims rotation- Shadow an assigned Claims Analyst, visit two field offices, attend a trial and a Claims Committee meeting
- Advice rotation- Introduction to the services provided by the MagMutual Advice and Customer Service to gain an understanding of the practical application of data analysis
- Actuary rotation -Gain an understanding of the actuary process within MagMutual
- Underwriting rotation - Rotate through each of the regional teams and the complex accounts unit, gain an understanding of the different underwriting approaches based on territory, account size and physician specialty
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance rotation - Exposure to the key areas of regulatory compliance, policy form development, analytics, and enterprise risk management; focus on the practical application of each area. Overview of legal support responsibilities for company and subsidiaries
- Sales and Marketing rotation - Introduction to the agency departments (Marketing, sales and account management); learn the key activities of each of the sales business units, including Premium Accounts, Special Accounts, and Small Business Unit and Allied Lines, including prospect and renewal meetings
- Information Technology rotation - Overview of all the different systems we use and the ongoing initiatives to maintain and upgrade those systems.
- Accounting and Finance rotation - Billing process and systems (direct and agency), reporting requirements, reinsurance, investments
- Make suggestions to improve the program, as well as policies and procedures for work flow in each rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree (12/2024 or 5/2025 graduates)
- Able to work in a fast paced complex and dynamic environment
- Poise under pressure and comfort with ambiguity
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
