The Opportunity
TECKpert is seeking a Business Analyst (Advanced) for a contract role with our client, a government agency in Tallahassee, FL. This position requires expertise in business and system analysis to support IT projects. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and subject matter experts to document, analyze, and optimize business processes, ensuring alignment with agency objectives.Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct business process analysis and document system requirements.
- Collaborate with multiple business units to identify, define, and implement process improvements.
- Lead and facilitate joint analysis workshops with business and technical teams.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements, ensuring clear communication to stakeholders.
- Oversee development team activities, ensuring requirements are met.
- Coordinate data migration efforts and development team activities.
- Develop test plans and oversee the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Regression Testing.
- Utilize Microsoft DevOps to track bugs, backlog items, and project updates.
- Provide detailed documentation, including use cases, business rules, and technical specifications.
- Assist with configuration and customization of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions.
- Adhere to the agency’s project management framework and compliance with Florida Administrative Code (Rules 60GG-1 – 60GG-5).
Compensation and Term This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $85,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.Qualifications you

A successful Business Analyst has the following experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in business/systems analysis for software development projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft DevOps (highly desired).
- Experience with Florida Administrative Code Rules 60GG-1 – 60GG-5 (highly desired).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification (preferred).
- Experience with configuration/customization of COTS solutions (preferred).
- Experience with data migration, change/release management (preferred).
- Experience working with Microsoft Power BI (preferred).
- Prior experience with government agency applications and systems (preferred)
