Construction Project Manager

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop work scopes, solicit bids, conduct scope reviews and negotiate subcontracts
  • Communicate with client on project issues to assure client satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain overall project schedules; work with all parties to avoid delays
  • Assure the timely review/processing of submittals, pay applications and other project documentation
  • Manage Subcontractors; coordinate/communicate with subs in a professional manner
  • Prepare project reports, including cost reports, monthly reports and schedule updates
  • Facilitate RFI resolution with Owner and design team
  • Oversees change order management process
  • Responsible for the overall project financial management
  • Support project team on overall project requirements
  • Support bid pursuits, proposal preparation and new client development
  • Develops and adheres to project quality control plan
  • Collaborates with the design team from project initiation to completion

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:


  • Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate degree required
  • Masters in CM a plus
  • 5+ years Project Management experience on commercial/institutional projects
  • OSHA 30 a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with project management, trade contractors, architects and engineers and the ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision. 
  • Experience with bidding work, developing work scopes, subcontractor management project scheduling and cost reporting required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Microsoft Project expected
  • Procore and CMiC knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling, Revit software desired.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.Wight & Company offers excellent benefits and a wonderful work environment.
